The Canadian Safe Sport Program (CSSP) Public Registry lists individuals who are subject to the Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS) whose eligibility to participate in sport has in some way been restricted by imposed sanctions or provisional measures.
The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) will post sanctions on the CSSP Public Registry while the sanction is in effect when it includes a suspension, permanent ineligibility, or (at the CCES’s discretion) other sanctions that restrict eligibility to participate in sport. See the current list of sanctions here.
The public registry includes participants subject to provisional measures that involve a suspension or that otherwise restrict their eligibility to participate in sport while the provisional measure is in place. The CCES may, in its sole discretion and on a case-by-case basis, decide not to post provisional measures involving a suspension or restriction of the eligibility of participants other than a coach or other person of authority. See the current list of provisional measures here.
NOTE: During the OSIC extension period (April 1 – July 31, 2025), any reports received before February 1, 2025 will be completed by OSIC, who will post related provisional measures to the Abuse-Free Sport Registry. The CCES is not posting those provisional measures at this time. Visit the Abuse-Free Sport Registry by clicking here.
Sanctions and provisional measures involving minors are not posted on the registry, except on a case-by-case basis.
The CCES may recognize and enforce, including by publishing on the CSSP Public Registry, sanctions imposed on a participant by a professional regulatory body, or by a domestic or international sport organization outside of the CSSP, including by the Office of the Sport Integrity Commissioner, where the sanctions have been imposed on a participant for conduct consistent with behaviour prohibited under the UCCMS. The registry shows the source of the information when posted (CSSP Rule 22).
