Safe Sport E-Learning: Individuals at Designated National-Level Events
As per rule 3.2 of the Canadian Safe Sport Program (CSSP) Rules, CSSP-adopting sport organizations have the option to designate national-level events under the jurisdiction of the CSSP Rules. This means that for the duration of the designated national-level event only, registered individuals will fall under the jurisdiction of the CSSP Rules and be subject to the Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS).
Individuals provide their consent to the CSSP Rules and the UCCMS via the event registration process. As per the consent form embedded in the event registration system, registering individuals have the opportunity to be educated on the CSSP Rules. The purpose of Safe Sport E-Learning: Individuals at Designated National-Level Events is to provide this opportunity.
You can take this course if:
- You are registering or have registered for a national-level event that has been designated under the jurisdiction of the CSSP Rules. This information will have been indicated in the event registration system.

You should not take this course if:
- You are an identified participant of a CSSP-adopting sport organization.
- Your sport organization sent you an e-learning invitation (including a unique code) for Safe Sport 2025 so you can complete the course in the CCES e-learning portal and sign the CSSP Consent Form.
