Reporting to the Manager, Education (M1), the Education Officer is responsible for contributing to and leading awareness-raising, informational, and values-based education activities across all areas of the CCES strategic plan, including Canadian Anti-Doping Program (CADP), Canadian Safe Sport Program (CSSP), the Canadian Program to Prevent the Manipulation (CPPCM), and others, as appropriate.

Duties and Responsibilities

Resource Development and Production

  • Recommend new resources and information products to better address learner and program needs;
  • Review and recommend revisions to existing resources and information products;
  • Contribute to (or lead) content development related to CADP, CSSP, CPPCM, and fee-for-service initiatives;
  • Oversee production and distribution of new and updated resources, including e-learning programs;
  • Develop channels to broaden the distribution of resources/information products;
  • Manage contract service providers and budgets as required.

Communications

  • Develop content and approaches for effective communication of key messages;
  • Implement strategies for client education services, including platforms and standardized responses.

Information Services

  • Respond to general education-related inquiries;
  • Provide support to users of the online learning portal;
  • Prepare and deliver presentations and webinars;
  • Assist with major games and fee-for-service education services as needed.

Partnership Development / Sport Community Capacity Building

  • Support partnership development and capacity building using existing or new resources;
  • Enhance CCES education plans with various program signatories;
  • Respond to sport community requests for assistance in resource development and capacity building;
  • Represent CCES at meetings and events.

CCES Quality Management System

  • Be familiar with Quality Management System responsibilities;
  • Comply with quality system processes and suggest improvements;
  • Identify and help manage risks related to the position;
  • Log stakeholder feedback in the Quality Database.

General Responsibilities

  • Other duties as assigned by the Manager(s) or Executive Director, Sport Integrity.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Bachelor's degree or college diploma in education, sport, health, social science, or equivalent experience;
  • 1+ years of relevant experience; knowledge of Canadian sport community and anti-doping preferred;
  • Experience with social media and content development;
  • Strong project coordination and time management skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;
  • Presentation and workshop facilitation skills;
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
  • Experience with LMS platforms preferred;
  • Instructional design experience is an asset;
  • Experience with Storyline 360 or other e-learning tools is an asset;
  • Excellent communication in English (spoken and written);
  • French verbal and written skills preferred.
