Ottawa – October 30, 2024 – The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) announced today that Noah Vladimirovich, a weightlifting athlete, received a three-year sanction for an anti-doping rule violation. The athlete’s urine sample, collected in competition on August 10, 2024, revealed the presence of oxandrolone, a prohibited anabolic agent.
Ottawa – October 17, 2024 – The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) announced today that Christopher MacLeod, a football athlete, received a three-year sanction for an anti-doping rule violation. The athlete’s urine sample, collected out of competition on June 17, 2024, revealed the presence of SARM RAD140, a prohibited anabolic agent.

Ottawa – January 24, 2025 – The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) is proud to present the final Canadian Safe Sport Program (CSSP) Rules to the sport community. As of April 1, 2025, the CCES will independently administer the Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS) through the application of the new CSSP Rules for federally funded, national-level sport organizations.
Ottawa – January 2, 2025 – The World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) 2025 Prohibited List is now in effect. The updates for 2025 are relatively minimal, consisting mostly of clarifications, recategorization of substances, and new examples within existing categories. The Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport (CCES) encourages all athletes and support personnel to familiarize themselves with the 2025 Prohibited List and modifications for this year.
