The CCES Releases First Draft of 2021 CADP

(Ottawa, Ontario – May 8, 2020) – The CCES has released Draft 1 of the 2021 Canadian Anti-Doping Program (CADP) for consultation.

This draft incorporates the 2021 World Anti-Doping Code (the Code) and all mandatory International Standards, and sets out a proposed structure for how Canadian sport organizations will implement the Code.

Athletes and select expert groups are the target audience for this round of consultation. Their feedback will inform the creation of Draft 2, which is scheduled to be released on June 15, 2020 for review by national and multi-sport organizations.

At this time, the CCES is seeking input from target groups on the key points outlined in this Explanatory Document.

2021 CADP Reference Documents:

The World Anti-Doping Code

The CCES ensures that the CADP complies with the 2021 World Anti-Doping Code, which goes into effect on January 1, 2021.

Changes to Parts A and B of the 2021 CADP are tracked against the 2015 CADP, and changes in Part C (the Rules) are tracked against WADA’s 2021 Model Rules.
