Disabilities

People with disabilities face many forms of social, economic and political exclusion. Negative stereotypes of people with disabilities contribute to people underestimating the capacities of people with disabilities, creating barriers to opportunities and inclusion in day-to-day activities. Sport helps to remove these barriers by changing community perceptions of people with disabilities, focusing attention on their abilities.
