2021 World Anti-Doping Code Review

The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has begun a two-year consultation process for the development of the 2021 World Anti-Doping Code and International Standards. The CCES is leading the process to provide comments to WADA on behalf of the Canadian sport community. This process ensures that the sport community has an opportunity to provide feedback regarding the anti-doping rules and issues that impact them and to advocate for change.

The CCES invites Canadians who have an interest in clean sport to complete a six-section survey, based on the elements of the Canadian Anti-Doping Program (CADP), which includes questions and considerations provided by WADA. The information collected through the survey will shape the CCES’ submission to WADA as they revise the Code and International Standards. The deadline to complete the survey is March 12, 2018.

The CCES will also conduct in-person consultations with sport organizations to discuss many facets of the current anti-doping system, including the Code. Participation is by invitation only for the following dates and locations:

  • Ottawa, March 6
  • Vancouver, March 7
  • Calgary, March 8
  • Toronto, March 9
  • Montreal, March 12
